Poor Tracking Skills

Tracking is the ability to accurately move our eyes to follow a moving object or to move our fixation from spot to spot.  As we track an object, or change our fixation from one location to another, we must maintain focus on the object we are looking at.  Good eye movements are essential for reading and many other everyday tasks.  When an individual cannot accurately track, they will frequently lose their place, skip words or lines and have to rely upon the use of a finger as they read.

At Indiana Vision Development Center, PC, we provide comprehensive diagnostics of tracking abilities to find Oculomotor Dysfunctions.  Once diagnosed and treated, our patients experience improved handwriting abilities, reading with greater efficiency and ease, better coordination and sports performance and the confidence of approaching those everyday challenges without the frustration of poor tracking skills.
