Sometimes an accident, illness, or disability is the cause of vision problems. Good candidates for Vision Therapy are those who have suffered a Head Injury, Stroke, Whiplash, Brain Damage, Birth Injury or Traumatic Brain Injury. Those who have been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, or other neurological disorders may also benefit from Vision Therapy.
Someone who has experienced this type of disruption to the nervous system may experience double vision, blurred vision, reading problems, eye pain, visual field loss, sensitivity to light, and memory difficulty.
Vision Therapy may help reduce or reverse the effects of traumatic injury, illness, or disability as they pertain to vision problems.

Upcoming Workshop:
A.D.D. Just Doesn't Add Up!
Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012 6:30-8:00 pm
If you know your child is smart, but he or she is behind grade level in reading, or getting poor grades in school, the problem could be visual. Find out how children who have passed vision screenings could be struggling with reading and learning because of underlying vision problems.
When Reading, does your child:
q Reverse letters and words?
q Skip whole lines?
q Lose their place on the page?
q Tilt head, close or block one eye?
q Complain of headaches, dizziness or nausea?
q Have short attention span?
q Have poor comprehension?
q Lack confidence / self esteem?
q Get easily frustrated?
q Look like he/she might have ADD/ADHD? Dyslexia?
q Take “forever” to do homework?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, it is possible that your child may have a vision based learning problem. A child can have 20/20 vision, and still lack the visual skills required to read..
This workshop is FREE and open to the public. Seating is limited.
