Katie – Malachi’s Mom

Malachi had been struggling for 3 years to learn his letters and learn to read. Some days he would have no trouble recognizing letters and words, and then the next day he would be in tears because he wouldn’t know what anything was.
We were finally referred to IVDC by a therapist he was seeing. When we were getting him evaluated by Dr. Myers that first visit, I nearly broke down and cried seeing how my son’s eyes were not working properly together.
Vision therapy has had such a huge impact in Malachi’s life. He is reading and gaining confidence in his ability to read words everywhere and not just in books.
We can’t thank Dr. Myers and Maggie, Malachi’s therapist, enough for their wisdom and guidance over this past year. Vision therapy changed my son’s life and we will be forever grateful.
